The Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB is a high-quality T8 fluorescent bulb crafted by specialists in Germany. This bulb emits a moderate level of UVB, making it ideal for reptiles with lower UVB needs in shorter enclosures.

Usage Guidelines:

Mount the 24" Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB in a 24" Zoo Med ReptiSun T8 Terrarium Hood and position it above the basking spot. It works best for low-UVB reptiles in wider terrariums around 48" in length and up to 18" in height.

To ensure consistent UVB output, replace the Zoo Med T8 ReptiSun 5.0 UVB every 6 months. For optimal performance, pair it with a Zoo Med Digital UV Index Radiometer or a Solarmeter 6.5.

3" below bulb — UVI 2.6 - 3.5+

4" below bulb — UVI 2.6 - 3.5+

5" below bulb — UVI 1.0 - 2.6

6" below bulb — UVI 1.0 - 2.6

7" below bulb — UVI 1.0 - 2.6

8" below bulb — UVI 0.7 - 1.0

10" below bulb — UVI 0.7 - 1.0

Distances are measured from the bulb’s tip to the basking area or reptile. UVI values are estimates and may decrease by 30-40% when the bulb is used over a mesh screen.
