Star Wood brings a bold, architectural feel to your aquascape with its long, straight branches and naturally pointed tips. It has the smooth, clean texture of Manzanita Wood, but with sharper edges that create a bolder, more directional look in a scaped tank.

Unlike the twisting formations seen in traditional Manzanita Driftwood, Star Wood grows in straighter lines, making it perfect for building structured layouts, dramatic slopes, or branching designs that guide the eye across your scape. Think of it as Spider Wood reimagined into fewer tangles and more intention. Each piece is easy to work with and ideal for attaching epiphytes like Bucephalandra, Anubias, or moss, giving you plenty of creative freedom while maintaining a clean, cohesive layout.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Long, straight branches provide strong visual flow
  • Smooth texture with sharper, more defined tips
  • Great for structured, modern aquascapes
  • Easy to attach aquatic plants and mosses

Preparation and Care
Proper aquarium driftwood prep goes a long way

  1. Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the piece to remove any dust or debris from transit.
  2. The Floating Phase: Depending on the size, Star Wood will float a little initially. We recommend soaking it thoroughly or boiling it. A large stone or heavy decor may be placed on top to ensure a non-waterlogged piece of wood stays submerged.
  3. Tannin Control: If you want zero tint in your water, a quick 1-hour boil will fast-track the sinking process and remove any remaining surface tannins. You can also reduce this effect through consistent water changes or through the addition of Aquario Neo Carbon Bag

Important note: We recommend rinsing wood thoroughly before adding it to an established aquarium. If you prefer, you may also boil the wood for at least 1–2 hours to help release tannins.
