This is the updated 2021 version of my book "Sandoval Stories, 1760s - 2013" that I published to honor the centennial of my father Graciniano Angeles Sandoval (1913 - 2004). Itay (Father in Pilipino) loved sharing stories about life in the Philippines and so I decided to follow his example and share stories of our Filipino American Odyssey. I wanted to update this book to include stories from the quincentennial celebration in 2021 of the circumnavigation of the globe by Magellan and El Cano in 1521. This update benefited from the remarkable photo collection of Erlinda Sandoval Salas Jovellanos that has been generously shared with the family by my cousins Sarita Jovellanos and Lia Ramos. I hope that our grandchildren Daniel Padraig and Ciara Kathleen Foley, our quarter-Filipino Sensations will learn to appreciate the good lives led by their Sandoval ancestors in the Philippines and in the USA, particularly in our Fairfax County, Virginia hometown.
