- The clearance between the base of the shelf and the tip of the bottom of the ladder depends on the length of the ladder, which becomes the hypotenuse of the right triangle formed by the wall of shelves, the ladder itself and the floor between the base of the ladder and the wall of shelves. Using the Pythagorean Theorem you can solve for the distance you seek
- We have also given a simple formula: L =H-1 9/10'' (with L means Ladder Length and H means the point that the roller’s strap starts to bend, this point is also where the top tip of your ladder should be).
