- Details: This vintage Philadelphia, Betsy Ross and Liberty Bell pennant is in absolutely wonderful condition! There is no fading, colors are bright, no tears, no fraying. The wool felt is a deep red, like a burgundy red, with red and white lettering and design. We estimate it to be from the 1940's to early 1950's, based on several points: its construction, the screen printing texture, the design, the fact that it's only 3 colors (in the early 50's, they started using more than two colors), plus the font, all lead us to our estimated date, but we are not experts, if the age is important to you, please do your own research. This is a great addition to a pennant, memorabilia or souvenir collection. Great piece of historical memorabilia. These are becoming very popular for decorating kids rooms, cabins, family rooms, etc. Great gift for someone from Philadelphia or moving there.
