About Orcas (Killer Whales):

Orcas, also called Killer Whales, are actually the largest members of the dolphin family! These magnificent marine mammals can grow up to 32 feet long and weigh up to 12,000 pounds. Orcas are characterized by their striking black and white coloring—black body with white patches behind the eyes and on the underside, plus a grey 'saddle' patch behind the dorsal fin. Each orca's saddle patch pattern is unique, like a fingerprint! Male orcas have tall, triangular dorsal fins up to 6 feet high, while females have shorter, curved fins.
