Designed with safety in mind, all edges are rounded to eliminate chewing surfaces, and the cord entrance plus the first 18 inches of the power cord are reinforced with steel. Pre-drilled corner holes allow the pad to be anchored with screws on wood surfaces or wired in place for wire-floored cages — keeping it securely in position even with active small animals.
