Jackson Kayak - Happy Seat Magnum

Better boat control and genuine comfort on long river days often come down to how well you're connected to your kayak.

The Happy Seat Magnum is an inflatable bladder that sits under your legs, just forward of your existing seat, lifting your knees and thighs into a more engaged position. That subtle change in leg angle improves your thigh contact and overall boat control, while simultaneously taking pressure off your knees, hips, and tailbone during extended time on the water. Jackson has widened and heightened the Magnum version to suit evolving kayak designs and provide a more noticeable, effective lift than earlier models.

Attachment is simple. The included cord secures the front to your floor support, and Velcro straps wrap around the back of your seat to keep everything in place. While the Happy Seat is tailor-made to fit Jackson Kayak cockpits, it can work in other kayaks as well. That said, it does occupy cockpit space, so it's important to confirm that it does not interfere with your ability to exit the kayak quickly in an emergency. Only use it if you're fully confident in your wet exit.

  • Inflatable bladder design, positions under legs forward of existing seat
  • Increased width and height compared to previous versions
  • Improves thigh contact and overall boat control
  • Relieves pressure on knees, hips, and tailbone
  • Secures with included cord at front and Velcro straps at rear
  • Tailor-made for Jackson Kayak cockpits
  • Safety note: confirm the Happy Seat does not impede emergency exit before use
