Called by God, and Carried by God.Crystal Blake committed her life to follow God out of a heart of faith and love. She was willing to follow His lead anywhere and through anything. The reality of that commitment was lived out when she was diagnosed with cancer while still in her 30’s. A wife and mother of three, Crystal shares with us the journey as it’s happening through her Caringbridge blog. The struggles of physical illness and emotional exhaustion are balanced with humor and the ability to see God at work all along the way. The cancer wanted to define her life and take it from her, but God was always bigger. His love and her faith-filled dependence on Him always won out, right to the end.Crystal and her family went to serve the church in Europe in 2003. God led them to Brno, Czech Republic, where they settled into life and work. Six years later, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After ups and downs of treatment for the next six and a half years, Crystal went to be with her Lord in June of 2016. Read more
