The Dyson DC15 End Cap Left Side , holds one part of the brush bar in place inside the vacuum. This cap contains the end cap, bearing, spacer, spring, and fastener. When you are standing behind the vacuum, the end cap will be located on the left side. This end cap is also the one that is attached to the smaller brush bar roller.
To remove or replace the DC15 End Cap no tools are required, only a coin. Following these simple steps will have your end cap changed in less than two minutes.
- Turn off and unplug your DC15 vacuum
- Locate the correct end cap to remove
- Place the coin inside the fastener and turn it to unlock it
- Turn the end cap 90 degrees
- Pull the end cap from the vacuum, the brush bar may come along with it
- Place the correct end of the brush bar into the new end cap and reinstall it on to the DC15
