This Dixon DMXL Series extra long mender hose fitting is made of plated steel and is suitable for repairing a broken hose. This hose mender has barbed ends to create a tight seal on a hose when used with a hose clamp or crimp sleeve or ferrule (not included). It is made of plated steel for greater corrosion resistance than unplated steel. It is not recommended for compressible products such as air, nitrogen, or steam.Hose fittings connect, control, change the direction of, and terminate the flow in piping and hose systems.
