This is an antique set of six German porcelain individual pieces in the Fragonard Courting Couple pattern with scattered flowers — gold-rimmed, each featuring a different Victorian courting couple decal at the center, surrounded by delicate scattered florals. Circa 1910s–1920s. One set available.

These are the pieces that once sat at each place setting at elegantly appointed tables — small, individual, deliberately decorative, meant to be both used and admired. Today they serve just as beautifully as tea bag holders, ring dishes, small coasters, or a collected display — and at 3.25 inches in diameter with a protruding rest, the form suits a tea table as naturally as it did its original purpose.

The Fragonard pattern takes its name from Jean-Honoré Fragonard (1732–1806), the French Rococo master whose pastoral scenes of courtship and leisure became among the most beloved images in European decorative arts. Transferred onto porcelain in the 19th and early 20th centuries, Fragonard-inspired decals became a hallmark of fine Continental tableware — and these examples, with their scattered flower borders and varied courting couple scenes, are among the more refined expressions of the style.

Based on the floral pattern, the gold rim treatment, and the quality of the porcelain, we believe these are very likely unmarked Carl Teichert Meissen pieces in the Biedermeier Floral pattern — a prestigious attribution that matches both the design language and the period. Unmarked, as was not uncommon for export pieces of this era. No chips, cracks, or scratches on any of the six; slight decal wear consistent with age and use.
