The CeJay Engineering Portable Thermal Beacon is intended for vehicular use and air-to ground operations. The PTB transmits in both the 2-5 and 8-12 µm ranges and sends out a rotating beacon that makes a complete 360° sweep every 1.5 seconds. The Portable Thermal Beacon can run off of any DC power source between 10 and 32 volts, whether on a vehicle or detached and mounted on the ground or a tripod. The unit has a small LED to indicate the power is on and transmitting. When not in use, the strobe can be protected by a cylinder that slides up from the base. Included accessories are a vehicle mounting bracket and a Hardigg Storm Case.
