Cappelletti Amaro Alta Verde is a traditional wormwood amaro from Antica Erboristeria Cappelletti — founded in 1909 in Piazza Fiera, Trento, and now operating from Aldeno among vineyards and apple orchards under the 4th generation of the Cappelletti family (Luigi and Maddalena). Alta Verde features assenzio (a special variety of wormwood) complemented by alpine herbs, citrus, and spices, producing the classic hallmark bitter flavor once common along the Adriatic coast but now rare.

Wormwood-driven amari sit at the more assertively bitter end of the Italian liqueur tradition — closer in character to absinthe-adjacent botanicals than to the softer dried-citrus and herb amari from southern Italy. Alta Verde works neat over ice with a squeeze of lemon, paired with citrus and tonic or soda, or as a cocktail component where its drying character balances sweeter ingredients.
