When it’s rainy, wet, and you want to be out there anyway, the Brooks Cascadia 16 GTX Women's Shoe gives you waterproof coverage with a lightweight GORE-TEX® Invisible Fit membrane that’s bonded directly to the upper for a lighter, more flexible fit. Since chances are it’s going to be a little mucky too there’s a gaiter tab on the heel to secure trail gaiters and a gusset to keep out sand and small debris as well. A trail runner with all-terrain stability this has the TrailTack rubber outsole for wet/dry traction and release grooves in the midsole to promote extra adaptability on rough terrain. You’re looking at the same DNA LOFT v2 midsole with an extra 2mm of cushioning for a comfortable ride, and the Ballistic Rock Shield with vertical grooves for side-to-side adaptability with protection against rocks and uneven trail surfaces as the Cascadia without Gore-Tex®.
